This Week's Digest: April 29

My favorite picture from last week: Took myself out to dinner at The Wheel, my favorite restaurant in Stamford.

I’m knee-deep in prep for the launch of my new podcast, Happy To Be Here, and all that Mental Health Awareness Month will bring with it. It’s an exciting time, but a really stressful time for anyone who works in the mental wellness space. It’s actually quite ironic because in the month that’s dedicated to giving a platform to taking care our mental health, I find it the hardest to keep up with my own mental health routines.

I don’t want this year to be a repeat of past years, so I’ve set a big mantra for this month — I will not take on more than one thing at a time. Whenever I find myself diverting from this mission, I lovingly try to remind myself that I’m human, can really only do one thing well at a time, and if I need a reminder of why, I just have to think about how we only have 3 wine glasses instead of 4 in our cabinet. (Multitasking added 5 extra minutes of cleanup on that day, but that’s a story for another day.)

In an effort to work smarter, not just harder, I’m going to pull together a weekly digest with my favorite reads, listens, or future events.

Marisa Renee Lee for Hill House Home

This week I recorded an episode of the podcast with Marisa, who then sweetly mentioned that she had mentioned me in an interview she did with Hill House Home. She was very generous in how she described me and the grief work I do. I’m excited for you to meet her in May and learn all about her book, Grief is Love.

Kt by Knix

The Kt by Knix brand slid into my DMs with an awesome ask. They wanted me to share their newly launched Period Guide. It’s an amazing resource for anyone with a teen in their life who is looking to better understand their menstrual cycle. They also offered a 15% code for their site: KTPERIODGUIDE15.

Monthly Group Reiki Healing

My friend and fellow Calm content creator is hosting her free monthly group reiki healing next Tuesday. You can sign up for it here. I’ll be joining for the first time as well!

What is Web3?

I don’t know either, but my interest has been piqued for a while. I’m going to be tuning in sporadically tomorrow, Saturday, April 30th to this virtual conference. It seems like they have a pretty diverse set of panels, which I’m excited for.

HI NOTE SLOPPY PAPI SEASONING MIX

I got served with this ad earlier today and seeing LC, the OG influencer of all influencers, was about all it took for me to order a 3 pack to try. I’ve been weirdly wanting sloppy joes for the last few weeks so this is perfect timing. Will report back on how I like the seasoning.
